For those of you who don't know South Park (where have you been the last 11 years), it is an animated comedy series about a group of 4 (well 3... they did finally kill Kenny) third grade students who live in the fictional town of South Park. It's rude, hilarious and if I am totally honest getting a little tiresome. So why the review? and why the mention?...

Trey Parker and Matt Stone (the creators) have recently launched a web site where every single episode from all 12 seasons are available for download - free of charge. The catch? Well at the moment it is not available for UK viewers and the site has plenty of adverts plastered all over it. The good news is that the site will be opening up to the UK "soon" and in the meantime it offers us foreigners plenty of footage and clips from the series. This is a big deal as it is the first time a television programme has stepped out on its own to create a platform around its show and in my opinion its genius. The site will generate plenty of revenue from the adverts and put people off downloading or watching the shows illegally on services such as YouTube. Free TV for us, revenue for them... its perfect!
