Well the BBC have launched a beta version of the iplayer for the Wii.
BBC iPlayer - Latest News I've just watched a couple of programmes on it and so far it's not as good as on the laptop or iphone versions, you need to use the browsers zoom function to get the video to take up the screen as there is no fullscreen option and you still get a bit of the area in the browser around the video sticking out at the sides/top. The FLV encoding is noticeable when zoomed in, as is the frame rate. I found it a bit blocky and jumpy. The BBC site does say this a beta and that the videos will be optimised for the Wii soon so hopefully the encoding and fullscreen issues will be addressed. |

Its great that the BBC are making this available for so many formats.
It works great on my PC, iPod and now I can watch it on my wii. If only the BBC would just show: The Apprentice Hustle F1 All day everyday, then its worth using.... |
