BT Vision to launch subscription movie service
BT's on-demand service BT Vision is to offer movies including Atonement and The Bourne Ultimatum on a new premium subscription channel.
The communications group has partnered with Universal Pictures to launch a UK version of the studio's film subscription service PictureBox, which has already been launched in Poland and Singapore.
PictureBox will have 28 titles at launch, including The Kingdom, Knocked Up, Hot Fuzz and Elizabeth: The Golden Age. More titles from Universal Pictures, NBC Universal and third parties will be added each week.
BT Vision's commercial director of TV Services Mark Watson said of the launch: "PictureBox represents a significant new development for BT Vision, and we are confident that the combination of current and library titles, refreshed on a regular basis, will prove highly popular with our customers."
BT Vision will launch PictureBox on 5 May.
