Glossy Black 3G iPhone Photo is Bogus [Rumor Smashed]

The first supposed leaked shots of the 3G iPhone hit way back at the start of this month and Engadget confirmed a glossy black construction just yesterday. Whether or not that may be true is still up in the air, but the shot we have previously seen is not it—that's just a protection case available for the current, 3G-free iPhone. Check it out in the image above.
Looks like the evidence supporting a glossy black 3G iPhone just went out the window. That may not be such a big problem, as we're not going to lose sleep over a glossy facial, but how solid are related claims of inbuilt GPS and the like? Time will tell, but as ever, keep in mind that rumors are never enough to go on. [winandmac]
