So, Kangaroo is a massive project run by rival companies, that could be considered a monopoly. Will it actually ever happen? And when it does, will it be a lame duck?
I can see smaller and more nimbel (and less legal) services getting the jump on the 'Roo and leaving it in the dust. Any other thoughts? Last edited by VonTurbo; 21-04-2008 at 01:09 PM. |

I really hope it works, it would be great to have an iPlayer type service with tonnes more content on it.
The American Hulu (Hulu - Watch your favorites. Anytime. For free.) seems to be working well for them... I think they will be looking at this for inspiration when developing Kangaroo. |

Three huge players that hate each other, a pile of content, tons of money (bonues/payoffs) to be won or lost.... YUP! I bet they'll all sit down and play right nice and make the most of this most splendid opportunity. The trouble with people in TV is that if they don't have their head up their own ass, it;'s up someone elses. Someone here said "Kangaroo will either be massive or a massive disaster". Boy are they right about that.
