The BBC Trust this week said that Project Kangaroo would face thorough scrutiny before it could launch. The Trust said: “We gave the go-ahead for Worldwide to progress, but we will need to give clearance and we expect to do this in the coming months”. The BBC Trust will measure Kangaroo against four criteria. It must comply with fair-trade guidelines and “avoid distorting the market”; it must be commercially efficient; not jeopardise the BBC brand and fulfil the BBC’s “public purpose activities".

I think the who shebang will tear itself apart because they all hate each other. Also I think the people who built sky anytime are behind the technology. Nothing like a bit of reuse...

First kangaroo, now seesaw - what next? Maybe we should have a Download Monkey Contest for the best crap name for the service - which, lets face it, might never see the light of day any way.
