Sky TV and Sony have teamed up to launch Europe's first official PlayStation Portable video download service.
Set to be launched in July, Go!View is a joint venture between the two industry giants offering a range of programming including entertainment, comedy, sport and movies for the PSP. Users will be able to download content to the PSP via their PC on a subscription or pay-per-view basis. Subscribers won't be able to download content directly to the PSP over the Wi-Fi connection - it will still have to be managed via the PC. The content will be specifically formatted for the PSP, thereby helping to maximise quality and minimise file size. Prices for content will be confirmed in the next few weeks but Sony said the service will be competitively priced. Content will be available on a "buy to own" basis and rental. All videos will be using a DRM system. |

Doomed for failure.
If I believe what I have heard, you cannot access it wirelessly. (may not be true) As Sony's press release states that it can. A. I don't have a PSP B. No intentions of getting one C. Its Sony, they cock everything up Why on earth if true can you not access it wirelessly? |

Other than their TV and cinema advertising Sony, can f*ck up most things quite royally. It's a huge ship and can take years to turn around and change course.
