Channel 4 might be working on an August launch for Project Kangaroo (with ITV and BBC worldwide) but for now their 4oD service is still out with the pack leaders when it comes to current download services.

Ok - so while they try and sort out a logo, for now let's call this Sky Anytime v3.0 - Sky Player by any other name. In short - more tweaks, added streaming and we remain convinced - If you're a Sky TV customer, then this really is for you (even the new streaming quality is excellent and loads of it is free).

Miro (previously Democracy Player) is a free, open source video player that runs on Windows, Mac and Linux. With 4000 video channels available, support for Podcasts, YouTube, Google video and HD, the player has a great deal to offer. Is this the free TV solution we have all been looking for?
